Target stores are clearing out the PS3 Slim 250GB model for $249.99. Check your local stores if you’re in the market! Apparently they are selling out quick so consider yourself lucky if you find one.

Is the PS3 slim an old or obsolete model or something? I know nothing about the finer points of buying a PS3, but I’m interested in getting one, for sure.

I haven’t heard anything official about a new model coming out, but the PS3 slim is the latest model available to my knowledge.
Added note: Reportedly not all Targets are having this clearance sale, but a vast many (perhaps the majority) of them are.
