As I’ve watched the FIFA World Cup 2010 over the past few weeks, it became increasingly obvious to me that the sport should be represented in video games not only as a football/soccer game, but also as a fighting game.

Damn straight– it’s a crime they stopped making them– Mutant League 2010 has such a better ring to it than Madden 2010.

Somehow this reminded me of Super Baseball 2020 for the SNES. Not sure why :p Either way- 10 compelling reasons indeed!

I never played those, but I did spend a lot of time with Base Wars on the NES. It was a nice combination of baseball, robots and fighting.
