People like to have fun. This is obvious. Games are a part of virtually every culture and gaming has the power to make the world a better place. The Fun Theory Not long ago I heard about The Fun Theory, which is simply brilliant. The idea of the fun theory is that having fun is a good way to change behavior. It's happened to all of us: you buy a shiny new single player game, plunge into a well polished world, and are head over heels in love. This might very well be... the GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME. Whenever you try and revisit the game, for some reason the reality just doesn't match up to your ro... more. -

This has been an exciting week for Mortal Kombat fans. On Tuesday, a video that seemed to be a trailer for a new MK movie was uploaded to YouTube by a user called MortalKombatRebirth. The almost 8-minute long trailer was like nothing we’ve ever seen in the Mortal Kombat universe before. It was a darker, more realistic with a Saw feel to it. The video starts out with officer Jackson “Jax” B... more. -

So does Disney Quest bring back that old f... more. -

I'm a PC gamer. And as such, I will admit that I have pirated games before. The common view of the pirate is wrong, I believe. The common conception of the pirate is someone who just downloads every new game and they rarely, if ever, buy a game (admittedly, these are the most vocal pirates). However, I believe there are valid reasons to download. Piracy allows me to enjoy out of print games. Pe... more. -

In this article, we take a look back at how video games have evolved into what we know and enjoy today. We've come a long way, baby! The Handheld Battle It seems so long ago, but in the 8-bit era we were lucky to have the LCD dot-matrix Game Boy. No one was crazy about monochrome, but it worked. The competition's handheld gaming used a static, painted backdrop. We saw pre-molded LCD caricatur... more. -
Why Ants Would Be Great Gamers
2 CommentsPosted by Jonathan on May 17, 2010 under Editorials, Featured, Games
Yes, you read the title correctly. I think ants would be great gamers if they could play video games. They're too busy being a slave for their queen to even think of such things, I imagine, but give me a moment of your time and I'll explain why I admire these little creatures. Masters of Teamwork Many of us have played with that one idiot on our team who just couldn't go along with the plan. Ins... more.
