Heavy Rain, is an PS3 exclusive, looks like its going to be awesome. It reminds alot like Shenmue only with a CSI kinda thing going on.

Thoughts? I think this is one heck of a good reason to own a PS3.

The first minute of the video looked really good, graphics wise. But as soon as it got to the part where the guy was in his car, the graphics started to go downhill. I'm pretty sure the PS3 can do better than that. The cars looked like shit. The only thing that reminds me of Shenmue is the QTE button presses. But that was just in certian parts of Shenmue. It looks like that's the whole game.Reminds me a lot of This Game.

I think thats youtubes fault more than the ps3 maybe. I think that gameplay footage was just showing off the QTE's like the part in the garage where he was looking for clues, I think the game will have more varyation of that. I don't mind QTE's at all, as long as they are done well, and Heavy Rain to me, looks like it can pull it off good. I like how the buttion to press isn't just at the bottem of the screen ethier, its kinda looks random. That ninja game looks awesome btw haha.

I think this is going to be one of those rare games that is great despite the gameplay, and despite having zero fun factor (a la FFVII). I hope I'm wrong about the lack of good gameplay, btw.
Regardless, I think the story and overall presentation will carry the day. I hope this game is a success so we can see more game developers take a more serious and more adult approach (and not to the detriment of already existing genres).
