Yeah you know how you have your guitar hero and rock band, well a new one is coming, Power Gig.

only Power Gig lets players pick up a real guitar with real strings, Whilst this may be a slightly intimidating sight for those of us more accustomed to guitar hero controllers with Fischer-Price colored buttons, a real guitar is not only a smart idea but it also opens up the gameplay alot, no longer are those hammer-on's(and other musical technique) just a button combo, you really have to preform a hammer off on a (basically) real guitar. You even plug the controller into an amp and use it as an instrument.

Two play modes have been comfirmed: traditional beat-matching and chording. Chording requires players to actually match the finger positions on the string, so think of it as a true guitar experience….Or a game most rock artists won’t bash.

Is it the answer for all of those gamers who have wanted to take their band game experience to the next level?
