I just started thinking about boss battles in RPG's. Thinking back, I think the toughest boss battle for me was facing Culix (SP) on Super Mario RPG. Tough battle. Quite rewarding, as it's a side-quest thing, giving you not only a great bonus in exp. points, but some sort of weapon/item was given to me. This may be one of the reasons I've shyed away from FF-VI. As tough as the SM:RPG battle was, I heard that in Final Fantasy VI, it's even more insane.

TO THE TOPIC AT HAND:

Been playing a fair amount of PSP, and I pullled out my GBA-SP (Onyx, back-lit screen). My DS is shot, so even though I hate to shell out $130, I am going to buy a new one tomorrow. I solved the issue I had with the broken hinge. I used electrical tape on the flip-open-y part so the DS's top-screen-half, when open, wouldn't fall back. I hope that makes sense. But now, no more quick-fixes. The left speaker stopped working. Can't get it going again. My guess is when the hinge broke, over time, it wore out the wiring to the left speaker.

I might be interested in buying your busted DS.

What would you want out of it?

Hm, never thought of selling it, but I'll get back to you on it. Should be able to make an equitable trade. It does still work, but has a lot of wear and tear. You know, it's still got life in it, but I wouldn't risk negative feedback by putting it up for sale on ebay.

Got a silver DS Lite today. I kinda wanted the white one from back when the DS Lite was first available. Initially, I bought the white DS Lite, but it was defective out of the box. I had to keep recalibrating the touch-screen, and that wasn't right. So, I exchanged it the next day, and for whatever reason, got the black one instead. The choices today were: Cobalt, Silver, and Crimson/Black. Cobalt…not so bad. Crimson/Black…not feeling the love, there. I remember a friend of mine having the same scheme for a GBA-SP, and that looked bloody disastrous.

Mainly, been playing Order of Ecclesia, Dawn of Sorrow, Final Fantasy III, and Animal Crossing: Wild World. Also, in the spirit of "just because I can", I did the single-card play mode of Metroid Prime Pinball. Don't know what other games – if any – support single-card gameplay.

I'm just finishing up Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Spirit Tracks. I still need to finish Super Mario RPG again since I've been at the end forever now. Same goes for Blaster Master: Reloaded.

Next up though is Super Mario Galaxy. And I'm always playing some Mario Kart Wii.

I haven't touched Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney in a few months. It's a good game, though.

Mostly been playing World of Warcraft with a little Assassin's Creed now and then. We rented Red Dead Redemption this week so have been playing some of that too.

I'm gonna give Gamefly a shot for a month or two, so that should diversify my gaming a bit…
