On other forums I've seen these topics pop-up, life tips. They're just very general (usually common sense) tips to help people in life. They can be related to health, finance, or whatever. At the end of the day, you just post little pieces of information to help people.
1) Drink tea and coffee instead of pops. I'll admit, I am a sucker for a good soft drink. I enjoy a good ginger beer, and I do buy coke every now and then. However, my main drink of choice is tea. It's a good way to get caffeine (caffeine affects me more than sugar), you can get good tea for fairly cheap, and you can buy all sorts of flavours for yourself. It's a cheaper alternative to soft drinks (you can buy bagged tea, of a decent brand and quality, for $2 – that will have 20 tea bags!).
2) If you find yourself craving a sugar fix, buy some suckers/lollipops in bulk. This is something that's been helping me keep my sugar cravings in check, I just buy a bunch of suckers for cheap and if I ever want something sweet, I just pull a sucker from my drawer.
3) Invest in sound. As gamers, we tend to worry more about memory, processors, and video cards. However, I suggest investing in a good set of speakers. While you maybe content with your speakers now, you will notice a difference once you get higher quality speakers. If your computer is your primary entertainment platform this is a wise investment. For me, I have my laptop hooked up to a TV which is equipped with your standard speaker/headphone jack. So, for me speakers are not just improving the audio of my computer games, but my console games, my music, and my movies! My entertainment platform is tied around my monitor and speakers. Sound is something that tends to get forgotten because it's seen as secondary to performance, in the eyes of gamers. However, the focus should move sound to the forefront. I've played games with my TV speakers, my old speakers, and my new speakers, and I can say you can notice the leap in quality for each one. This is a relatively cheap upgrade in terms of bang for your buck. It can be cheaper than a hardware upgrade and affects more than games.

I drink way to much pop. It's pretty muich all I drink. I've been meaning to find a good alternative since my teeth have started to get really bad. I might have to switch to tea too, but even if I do that, I'd want sweet tea of Brisk Ice Tea which defeats the purpose. Although Arizona Green Tea is pretty good.
I have my computer hooked up to my stereo which is hooked up to my old car speakers. I have excellent sound. I use to have my TV hooked up to it too.

Hmmm so basicly your saying the trolls sound system blows because he doesnt really have one? Fine gosh dont have to be all mean about it.. trolls have feelings too.. And with like no source of income cant afford good sound system.. However I dont drink as many soft drinks as I used too. Usually just go with orange juice or 3 a.m. juice!
(3a.m. juice is a term us trolls call juice you make at three oclock at night usually provides good trolling fuel or game fuel whichever the case.)

Yeah, I've been cutting back on my soda too. I've done well with it except on weekends. Usually I only have one can (12 ounces) or so a day, and the rest of the time I have water or juice. I've also been drinking many more home-made smoothies than I used to. I fill them with yummy goodness like bananas, berries, yogurt, etc.
One way to keep track of your daily activities is to use Joe's Goals. It's great. I use it. Set it as your home page so you don't forget about it. Basically it's a nice way to track what you want to do every day. For example, one of the things on my list is to drink 8 cups of water. Another one I have is to spend 30 minutes on homework. So if I spend an hour doing homework, I'll give myself two smiley faces. It's basically a to-do list, but a better one, and it saves your progress and overall it helps me stay focused on what I want to do. It's too easy for me to get off-track without these reminders.

I switched from Dr. Pepper to sweet tea a couple of days ago. I know it's not much better, but it's a start. Then maybe I can moove up to green tea eventually.

If you’re going to use something a lot or you’re trusting your life to it don’t buy garbage, only buy the best, this goes for everything cars, guns, tools, etc. But don’t overpay for things you don’t need like a bike with disk brakes, or undercoating.
Learn to cook; the amount of money you can save is amazing.
Don’t be afraid to buy stuff from ebay sellers in China and HK, you can buy cords and stuff for a 10th of the cost.
But don’t overpay for things you don’t need like a bike with disk brakes, or undercoating.
