Well, Thursday, I just so happened to be having a good day, pain-wise, so I did go to the cinema to watch Sherlock Holmes. It was worth it. Great movie. A perfect blend of action, suspense, comedy, and a dash of mystery…well…more than a dash, I mean, it's fucking Sherlock Holmes!!!
Robert Downey Jr. played the role quite well. I couldn't help but to make a joke about type-casting and Sherlock Holmes' addiction to opium and consumption of alcohol.
Anyway, 'twas a good movie. Now, I just gotta make it to Friday. On Friday, I see my doctor, get a refill of Vicodin, and guard it with my life.
Off-topic, I know, but I just want to mention something that's left me rather pissed-off. I've had people tell me that I'm so "lucky" because with my degenerating spine, I get a lifetime supply of narcotic painkillers. That pisses me off. I've often felt like saying something like, "I'll tell you what; I'll give you all my Vicodin, but in return, you must give me your spine. If you want my painkillers, you also have to take my pain. I'd be more than happy to be rid of this pain for good." But then, it sinks in that anyone who makes such a comment is a total choad, and wouldn't be worth the waste of breath to even make said statement.

WTF? That's messed up. Some people are just stupid. I do love that you mentioned the word, "Choad." I only knew a few people other than myself who use it." I commend you my friend. lol

Coraline seems cute. Going to watch that now. Whoo. I only go to the dollar theater months after movies have been in theaters, so I won't be seeing Avatar or the like for quite a while.

So I watch Duel last night (from 1971) and for a movie based entirely on a Transport essentially stalking a driver for an 1hr and a half I loved pretty much every minute of it. 1 fact is you NEVER see the truck driver which basically gives the truck it's own 'mind' and the truck itself is just very striking and powerful for lack of better words in my ever tiring brain lol.
I recommend checking it out online where I did: http://www.classiccinemaonline.com/1/

Wow Bonemeal, those people are extremely stupid…
But back on topic, I recently saw Gamer and Zombieland.
Zombieland is hilarious and worth watching. There's not much of a story but that's not the point. Very good comedy.
Gamer sucks, especially the first half. It had some amusing parts and probably at least two dozen pairs of breasts, but overall I got a feeling this movie was made to appeal to the "hardcore action gamer" stereotype.

Gamer is the worst excuse for a movie I have seen in quite a long time.
Seeing as I also recently saw the second Transformers catastrophe, that's really saying something.

I haven't seen the new Transformers yet. I've heard the best part is Fox's ass, but that goes for just about any movie she's in.

I suffered through Transformers 2 twice…..the 2nd time was because a girl told me she'd give me a hj……well…..I can honestly say the Harry Potter preview was the best part of that experience :S
In other news, I watched Memories of Murder tonight for the first time in awhile. Everytime I watch it I am blown away by it. It's a Korean film based on Korea's first serial killer and between the beautiful cinematagraphy and ominous score it really sets the tone and feel for the entire film. It focus's on 2 detectives trying to find their killer in a time when DNA testing and forensics were none existant. You get the stereotypical good cop/bad cop going on in the beggining but as it progresses there characters develop and grow into more than that. First time I watched it I was expecting it to end several times but was caught with excellently crafted false finishes that had me wanting more and it didn't disappoint.
I'd suggest checking this out as it's literally my favourite movie ever followed by Oldboy and The Crow

Well damn, man. Clearly you need to let her practice more on you. How else will she ever improve?

I got my Grandparents to take me to see Avatar in 3D, it’s just awesome it’s the best movie I’ve ever seen!
Pandora (the moon it’s set on) is a fully realized ecosystem with seriously cool wild life; and the humans have extremely cool equipment.
I’ve read some articles about it in Wired and PM this was really James Cameron’s baby he’s worked on it for years, he even hired a linguist to help create the Navi language and a biologist to do the taxonomy of the plants and animals.
I don’t know if you guys remember how tight I am with my money, but I would’ve gladly paid to see Avatar.
Irt Bonemeal: I’m still looking for Threads I’ve never been able to find it.
Irt Carnage England: Idiocracy is an excellent movie.

I just saw District 9 on DVD.
Man D9 is just incredible, if you haven’t seen it by now go rent or buy the DVD.
Between District 9 and Avatar this has been the best movie-watching year ever!

I liked District 9 too. My girlfriend didn't, but she was nice enough to not walk out of the theater during the movie, lol.
I saw The Blind Side the other day. Very good movie. I recommend it.
And I saw The Invention of Lying yesterday. I wanted to like this movie, but it was just so boring. Thumbs down.
