Cheats, secrets, walkthroughs, etc.
I would love to see a site that was confident in the things that were posted.
Just a suggestion.
I would be glad to help with this if only in the sony section.

cheats and secrets would be hard to do, considering the massive competion from Gamefags and other huge faq sites, it would be hard to compete against imo. Walktrheoughs I guess it all depends on the content…
a site that was confident with the things that were posted? psh we are more confident then Hitler!

Moved to News & Feedback.
It would be very tough to have cheats and other things like that unless we had more staff that were devoted to just that. About 10 years ago, I tried that on a site I had called Nintendo Central. I just took everything from GameSages.com and put it on that site. (I was 15) Even that was a lot of work. There are just so many games out there.

Hey Icarus, thanks for the suggestions. We'd love to have some help with the Sony section. What do you have in mind?
Cheats & secrets aren't the main focus of the site. You can find those in a billion places on the Internet. I don't think any of us want ZippyGamer to be just another "me too" web site that posts the same stuff as everyone else. We're more interested in unique kind of articles that you won't find in many places. They're more interesting to read and more fun to write. With that said, we will occasionally do a guide for certain games, but again it's not a high priority, ya know?
I'm not sure what you mean about "seeing a site that was confident in the things that were posted." Can you expand on that? The word "confident" can be used in many ways. It doesn't make sense to use it in the normal way — I mean, our site isn't afraid to ask a girl out on a date, right? I put a Burger King game in my "best of the year" list. That takes some balls. LOL

Up Down Left Right Press A and then Start. Wait, I think everyone knows that classic cheat don't they? lol.
How about an art's section? Y'know for us video game artists that like to draw video game characters. o.o

I don't know, art sections don't seem to bring in a lot unless you have some really good art and people who want to let us use it. The fan art section on my other site is the least popular page on the site. If anything, a art section of the forum would probably be best.

We were already planning on having a general multimedia category where we would post wallpapers and stuff like that. I think having video game fan art submissions would fit well in there.

Oh shoot, I meant an art section on the forum. Well, I suppose I could always post an art thread in the off topic section should I want to post art. o.o;

I’ve noticed the less categories a forum has the easier they are to navigate and people like using them more.
I don't like that the “Root forum” button doesn’t say that it is,
I like plain text links like “ root forum \ child forum \ specific topic “

Ps sorry I put this in this topic it doesn't really have anything to do with game cheats. lol

I don’t know I don’t see it in IE or FF either, and I tried increasing my resolution and that didn’t help either (I normal run 800*600)

To be honest, I think cheat codes would be superfulous…and don't ask me how that is spelled! But anyway, it would've been a GREAT idea last generation, as some cheats took forever to get published. I remember it wasn't until the Summer 2005 for cheats to be released for Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (XBox/PS2). And not until 2006 for cheat codes to appear for RtCW (XBox), and the game was released for XBox in what…2002?
The problem now is it's come to a point where, for the idiocy of online integration, developers have made everything cheat-free. For M$, it's the stupid-ass "achieeeve-nyarrr" system as well as "peer matching". For PS3…not quite sure. I know they have an awards system…the trophy system. Why??? I don't know. I think they ate lead paint chips as children. The PC has been doing online gameplay ever since there was such a thing as "online". But for some stupid reasons, console-devs have become puritanical f—heads. No in-game cheat codes, and any company that should create a crack device (CodeBreaker, Action Replay, Gameshark), will be immediately slapped with a lawsuit.
You know…that's probably the biggest reason I haven't gone to any length to buy a current-gen system! (Second being another [pointless] $10 for a game that isn't even f—ing worth $10 more!!!)
PC — $50 max. price with most games capable of enhanced gameplay via cheat codes. Everyone can enjoy the game.
Console — $60 max price, and the games aren't worth the additional $10, but since people were ignorant enough to say "wut kin i doo/ i kant fite korprit umaraka>" (Not saying that this is true of all current-gen console owners. If I did, I'd be insulting everyone I know online…and eventually, myself.) Plus, no cheat codes. "Oh, we don't want people to beat our f—ing game the easy way. We want them to earn it even though the lowest-level gamers paid the same stupid f—ing $60. HA! We get such a painfully large boner off knowing our games are (effeminate voice) 'too hard' for some gamers."
*Phew!* I'm spent! Sorry if anyone thought I was dumping, but I really needed to get that out. But, out of respect for everyone here and to contribute to the effort of making this site family-friendly, please note that I censored my obscenities. Don't know if anyone cares about that or not, but hey, what can I say? I am a polite bloke at heart.

I’ve actually been on it (I was reading a BG&E review), it’s a good site.
Oh, and just for everyone’s info I’m not gay.
